On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced an unimaginable tragedy. In the midst of the chaos and uncertainty, countless people stepped forward to help others.

Join us at Yanks Air Museum as we pause to remember those who lost their lives and honor the heroes, first responders, and everyday people who came to the aid of others during one of the darkest days in American history.

Honor the Helpers

Throughout the day, visitors are invited to reflect on the stories of courage, compassion, and selflessness that emerged during the September 11 attacks.

Video Presentation: The Helpers

In the Flight Center, a special video collage will showcase unique and inspiring moments in which people went out of their way to help others amid the chaos and confusion of September 11, 2001.

These stories remind us that even in moments of unimaginable tragedy, people can choose to help, serve, and stand together.

Ring the Bell for the Fallen and the Heroes

A ceremonial bell ringing will offer a moment of remembrance and reflection:

One ring in remembrance of those who lost their lives.

A second ring in honor of the heroes and helpers who came to the rescue and served others during the crisis.

We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

September 11 is a day to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage displayed by so many.

At Yanks Air Museum, we invite our visitors to take a moment to reflect on the helpers who answered the call when others needed them most.
